Mr. McWilliam serves as a Director at Blue River Partners, bringing over 18 years of experience within the financial industry, including financial reporting, financial controls, calculation of allocations and coordination of capitals calls and distributions, NAV calculations, Fund IRR, and the preparation of capital statements for multiple private equity funds. In his role at Blue River, Fred provides leadership to the team responsible for providing private equity fund administration, operations, and investor relations services.
Prior to joining Blue River, Fred spent nine years at Stratford Land responsible for various work assignments ranging from basic accounting functions to performing investor services activities en route to the VP of Finance role. Responsibilities included quarterly and annual performance reporting for all funds under management, side-by-side investments, and other limited partnerships and limited liability companies, preparation of investor communication and distribution letters, calculation of management fees and related rebates, and determination of values for all investments while working closing with the investment or audit teams.
Prior to joining Stratford, Fred spent three years with Inland American Communities Group, Inc. as an Assistant Controller, overseeing the daily activities of four individuals related to the development of student housing projects across the US. Fred also worked for six years with Prime Income Asset Management as a Senior Accounting Manager responsible for the quarterly and annual SEC reporting for a publicly traded real-estate company.
Fred completed roughly 8 years in the active U.S. Army and the National Guard.
Fred received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio and an MBA degree from Southern Methodist University.
